Desmond Elliot celebrates unannounced victory

GNR - Report reaching us states that popular Nollywood actor, Desmond Olusola Elliot has 

won his bid to represent the people of Surulere constituency at the Lagos State House of 

 Assembly, defeating the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Bayo Smith.

Even though the official results have not been announced by the Independent National Electoral 

Commmission (INEC) the Nollywood actor was spotted celebrating with his fans last night.


A few ago, the actor turned politician revealed that he chose to join the All Progressives Congress 

(APC), because it is the party of change and the party to be in.

He added that those who motivate him politically are Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for his 

administrative effort, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strong will and resilience and Governor 

Godswill Akpabio for his energetic mind in nation-building.

On Sunday morning, he is however waiting for the official announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Triple Disaster Drunk driver kills grandma, grandson, pregnant daughter in Ikeja

According to a series of comments by a Twitter user, a woman, her daughter and grandson were all killed in Ikeja by a car driven by "boys who were returning from a club". An apparent drunk driver who is reported to be on his way back from the club with his friends in the early morning of Saturday, January 10, killed a grandma, her grandson and her pregnant daughter in the capital of Lagos, Ikeja. An eye witness reported this on Twitter, with a photo of the car which killed the trio. “ Club boys killed grandma, pregnant daughter & grandson comg bk frm Vigil by 4am at Oriyomi strt Ikeja,”  the Twitter users with the handle  @chubbydick  reports. “ Returning from club, this guy killed 3 people coming bk from church, may we not walk when the road is thirsty ,” the Twitter user added.
