Governors Akpabio And Orji Win Senatorial Election

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State and Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State have emerged victorious in their respective states, where they both contested Senatorial seats on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Governor Akpabio, who contested for the Akwa Ibom North East Senatorial District polled 422,009 votes to beat his closest rival, Inebehe Okorie of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who got 15,1542 votes.
Governor Orji on his own part garnered 46,070 votes to defeat Ahamdi Nweke of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who got 10,204, thereby winning the Abia Central Senatorial election.

Triple Disaster Drunk driver kills grandma, grandson, pregnant daughter in Ikeja

According to a series of comments by a Twitter user, a woman, her daughter and grandson were all killed in Ikeja by a car driven by "boys who were returning from a club". An apparent drunk driver who is reported to be on his way back from the club with his friends in the early morning of Saturday, January 10, killed a grandma, her grandson and her pregnant daughter in the capital of Lagos, Ikeja. GNR -  Report reaching us states that popular Nollywood actor, Desmond Olusola Elliot has  won his bid to represent the people of Surulere constituency at the Lagos State House of  Assembly, defeating the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Bayo Smith.
